Granzow's Series W pilot operated solenoid valves are utilized for applications which require high flow rates. These valves are available with brass or nickel-plated bodies, pipe sizes ranging from 3/8" to 3", and sealing materials including Buna-N, FKM, or EPDM. Interchangeable coils offered for this series cover a wide range of AC and DC voltages. Connectors such as cable grip, ½" NPT conduit and power cords are available, as well.

In addition, the Series W solenoid valves are also available with nickel-plated bodies, adjustable closing speeds, lead-free brass bodies with NSF/ANSI 61 (potable water) or NSF/ANSI 169 compliance, and normally open operation.

Water Treatment and Filtration – Series W solenoid valves are very popular for emergency shutoff and inlet feed valves on water treatment applications. Considering the high flow rates and ability to have adjustable closing speeds, these features ensure a high performance valve which will have a very high degree of reliability versus competitive offerings.
Boilers and Water Heaters – Manufacturers of boilers and water heaters frequently utilize Granzow Series W valves for inlet feed or low pressure steam control. The W series valves can be equipped with EPDM sealing material which is suitable for low pressure steam.
Aquatics – Highly preferred solenoid valves for fountains, splash pads, commercial swimming pools and waterpark attractions due to the balance between performance and pricing. FKM sealing material can be used for highly chlorinated water and Granzow does manufacture the valves with up to 3" NPT process connections.
Low Pressure Steam – Low pressure steam applications require the use of sealing materials which can handle up to approximately 30 psi of steam (or head pressure). Considering EPDM sealants with Series W solenoid valves makes these valves a great option for low pressure steam control.
Building Automation and Control Systems – Residential, commercial and municipal buildings are beginning to automate the control of water supply lines within their facilities. Series W lead free NSF/ANSI 61 solenoid valves are used frequently for these applications as brass is superior in quality and reliability to plastic, but more economical than stainless steel.
Potable Water Applications – Similar to building automation systems, Series W NSF/ANSI 61 solenoid valves are purpose built for potable water applications.
Drinking Water Dispensing Applications – With the Series W flow rates and NSF/ANSI 61 compliance, these features make the Series W solenoid valves a great choice for ice making or water dispensing machines. Granzow is one of the only manufacturers with a lead free brass valve, which provides a higher degree of reliability versus polymer based valves and a more economical solution compared to most other stainless steel options.
Commercial Laundry Equipment – Due to the requirements of high flow, repeatability, and NSF/ANSI 61 lead-free compliance within laundry water lines, these brass solenoid valves are a popular choice for this industry.
Commercial Cooking and Warewashing Equipment – Food and beverage applications including steam ovens, griddles, warewashing machines and ice machines utilize solenoid valves for the various steam or water control functions. Granzow's high quality, lead free brass solenoid valves are a great fit for these types of food and beverage related applications.
