These instruments are used to monitor SF6 (sulfur hexafluoride) density levels contained in high voltage gas insulated switch gear, breakers and transformers.
Each controller contains up to 4 independently isolated switches that are used for sounding alarms and shutting down of relevant equipment.
The 8774 sensor measures SF6 density and correlates to produce a continuous analog or digital output. This output is used for critical real time monitoring of true SF6 density levels. The sensor may also be coupled with a data logger for intermittent sample rates. Logging intervals are pre-determined by the end user and can be downloaded to a laptop or transferred via wireless to remote locations for real time evaluation.
Our instruments are unique in that we measure true SF6 levels. Competitors use a temperature compensated pressure switch method. Call us for an explanation of this major technology difference and the output each produces.
